Frequently Asked Questions
Can we meet with you to discuss our wedding?
Absolutely, we always like to discuss your wedding in great detail, it is also important that you feel comfortable with us so our no-obligation meetings are a must! There is no charge to meet with us.
Do we need to pay a deposit?
Yes we charge a £200 non-refundable deposit to secure the booking and then the balance is payable ten days before the wedding.
How long will our wedding film be?
The length of time of your wedding DVD depends on how long your wedding ceremony and speeches are. if you are having a civil ceremony then the approximate length of the finished film will be approximately 1 hour long but for a church service the wedding film is likely to be 90 minutes long.
Are you insured?
Yes we have full public liability insurance which is also a requirement of the Institute of Videography who we are members of.
Do we need to pay extra for the licenses to film weddings?
No they are already included in our prices.
Can we choose our own music for the video?
Absolutely, your wedding film is unique and you make all of the music choices.
What time do you arrive on the day?
We generally arrive two hours before the ceremony. We will need to set up the cameras and microphones and we will take shots of the church/venue that will be included in the Introduction part of the DVD.
How do you work with the photographer?
If you have chosen a professional photographer then we will work discreetly with them. They will take charge of organising your shots and we will quietly film alongside them. We are always polite and courteous and in fact most of our recommendations come from photographers that we have worked with over the years.
Can you offer Photography and Video?
We are often asked if we can recommend a photographer. We have had the pleasure of working with Kenny Hickey on many occasions over the years. As we have worked together so often we do work incredibly well as a team. Kenny is a very talented creative photographer with years of experience. Kenny and I are happy to come up with a package to suit your budget. For more information please visit Kenny Hickey's website.
Do You Use Microphones?
During the ceremony we will attach a radio mic to the groom’s top pocket this will ensure that we capture the sound of both bride and groom. We remove it after the ceremony. As for the speeches if the speakers are not using microphones provided by the venue we will discreetly put a mic on the top table.
Do you film in High Definition?
We certainly do! We have a variety of cameras that are all HD.
What is the benefit of having two camera operators?
If you choose our Gold Package then there are two of us filming using three cameras. This ensures that we capture all the detail and enables us to give you more close ups. Most couples that opted for the Gold Package always say that it is great to be able to see all of the things that they missed on the day. We use specialist equipment to give you some lovely cinematic shots as well.
Can we give you a list of shots that we would like?
Of course, it is your wedding film so we are happy to film exactly what you want recorded.
When do we get our wedding DVD?
We like to have your film ready for you within two to three weeks from when we have received your music choices, however it does take longer during peak wedding season- generally no longer than 8 weeks - peak season is May to September.
Can you send me a sample DVD?
We don't really like sending out full films as we feel that an entire wedding is very personal so we have many samples on our vimeo channel if there is a particular section of a wedding that you would like to see then we can arrange to send a sample of this.
Can you put our Montage online so that our guests can see it?
Yes we can and there is no extra charge for this.
Can we order extra copies of the DVD?
Yes these can be purchased for £20 each or 4 for the price of 3.
Do you offer the option of USB?
Yes we can and we don't mind if you copy it - you can choose to have a High Definition USB stick in a presentation case instead of your DVD's or if you want both there is a charge of £45.
