On the day we arrived nice and early to get some images of Wadhurst Castle all dressed and ready for the day. Alice was getting ready in one of the Castle’s gorgeous rooms and was in the capable hands of her bridal party, hair dresser and makeup artist. The stunning flowers were supplied and arranged by Alice’s Mum – they were really beautiful.
Alice looked amazing in her dreamy Sophia Tolli dress. The gentle layers of the skirt giving it a really dreamlike romantic look.
As the weather was fine the ceremony was held outside in Wadhurst’s pretty walled garden and a harpist played as guests arrived and were seated. Alice walked from Castle and across to the gardens with her considerable bridal party in tow.
Now, it’s always lovely to meet and work with other professionals in the wedding industry and this was certainly the case working with the wedding photographer John Schofield. John was great to work with and did a fantastic job of photographing the day for Alice and Tom.
After a beautiful ceremony everybody enjoyed a drinks reception on the lawn and guests were entertained with a live singer.
The wedding reception was held in one of the castles gorgeous suites that had fantastic views across the Sussex countryside. The room was dressed perfectly and the three-tiered wedding cake dressed with flowers (that managed to be traditional and modern at the same time) was the clever creation of the team at The Incredible Cake Co.
After the wedding reception we got the chance to take some gorgeous footage of Alice and Tom walking around Wadhurst Castle’s beautiful grounds. As the sunset, the footage of the two of them walking up the path (past rows of jars containing fairy lights) was so romantic.
Evening celebrations started with the cutting of that gorgeous cake followed by a first dance. The site of Tom twirling Alice around in that stunning dress seemed the perfect time to close the story of Alice and Tom’s wedding day.
A wonderful laidback family friendly wedding for this lovely couple. Congratulations to Alice and Tom for getting married and creating such an amazing wedding day for yourselves, your family and your friends to remember.
